Our Asbestos Polarized Light Microscopy (PLM) laboratory is licensed by the Texas Department of State Health Services (TDSHS Lab Number 30-0087) and accredited by the National Voluntary Laboratory Accreditation Program (NVLAP Lab Code 102061-0) for satisfactory compliance with criteria set forth in ISO 17025.

Steve received his B.S. in Geology from the University of Texas in 1983. He has over 30 years of experience in the management of PLM and PCM asbestos analytical laboratories and is responsible for maintaining the laboratory’s NVLAP accreditation and State of Texas Asbestos Lab License.
Steve’s background in optical microscopy, crystallography and optical mineralogy as well as his 20+ years of experience in the analysis of materials for asbestos makes him one of the world’s most respected and experienced asbestos analysts.


Linda Griffin, President –Laboratory Sample Coordinator

Linda is maintains and coordinates sample flow in the laboratory from sample receiving to sample archiving. Her responsibilities include ensuring that samples are received and logged into the laboratory information management system in accordance with the laboratory’s Standard Operating Procedures and Quality Assurance protocols. In addition, Linda is responsible for communicating customer deadlines to the laboratory analysts and ensuring the laboratory’s customers receive accurate and timely reports.
